Eva Miranda/Leah Pires

Any ideas on whatever became of Eva Miranda? I just got through re- reading 'The Partner', and that question still plagues me. A few years ago, after I read 'The Broker', I thought that maybe Mia (living in Italy) in that story, could be Eva/Leah who disappeared somewhere in Europe at the end of 'The Partner'. Has anyone else out there thought that they could be the same? I'd love it if JG would write something tying those characters together, bringing Patri...

Grisham as a children's book writer

What do you think, will he succeed as a children's book writer? Do kids aged 8 to 12 even be interested in legal thrillers and topics like lawyers, murders and court room action?

What a let down!

JOHN GRISHAM IS MY FAVORITE AUTHER. I WAS GOING TO HAVE SURGURY LAST YEAR SO I BOUGHT ALL OF HIS BOOKS. I LOVED HIS EARLIER BOOKS BUT I SURE HAVE BEEN DISAPOINTED WITH THE LAST HALF . HE SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH HIS EARLIER BOOKS (THE ENDING) AFTER ALL THEY WERE THE ONES THAT MADE HIM FAMOUS. HE MAY HAVE WANTED TO CHANGE HIS ENDINGS BUT HIS READERS SURE DIDN`T. I FOR ONE WILL NOT BUY ANYMORE OF HIS BOOKS UNLESS HE CHANGES....

Favourite John Grisham Book?

My most favorite is The Innocent Man. After that...I'd have to think about it..maybe reread some stuff I haven't read it years. Seems like I read Bleachers but was disappointed. One book..I'm trying to remember which one...The Partner maybe? It's been years since I read it...anyway the girl runs off with all the money at the end. I was kinda mad. Obviously I need to reread...maybe I'll do that while he works on finishing The Associate!

The Associate

I just finished reading The Associate and I agree with others that a sequel is needed. It seems like the book was left unfinished for a reason...too many questions. Certainly Kyle can't just walk away...it was too easy...don't think Bennie would allow that. Second...who is the suspected second spy? At one time I thought it might be Dale...but then it had to be a senior associate or partner like the book suggests only a person in that kind of position would be able to reveal facts to...

well, i was so glad that i was not alone with the ending of this book. i have all john grisham`s books and have read most of them, so i`m really hoping that is the last book he ever writes with the very bad ending. he is a wonderful writer but he needs to remember the people that got him where he is now because you can be a wonderful writer but if no one buys his books then he will be forgotten

I loved this book but couldn't help but think there should be a part 2 to see what happens after the brother gets out of rehab. Does anyone know if there is a part 2 out there or coming?

The Appeal

Grisham writes an interesting, sorted, believable tale. In typical Grisham fashion he builds, and builds, and the climax of the book is the part about Fisk's son. The writers intent is to have the reader on the edge of his/her seat and the lesson that Fisk learns because of his injured son is dead on with what you are hoping for..., until you realize the dark side - Fisk is not a bad guy but he's a victim and a wimp. Although he finally realizes his awful position and understands that...
