John Grisham attended the Virginia state Democratic convention
Every four years, the Democratic Party of Virginia gathers to finalize its delegation to the Democratic National Convention. This year’s convention took place at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton.
With the conclusion of primaries, Virginia Democrats now have a complete slate of candidates on the ballot heading into the November elections. Delegates elected Barack Obama as a candidate for President.
But several Clinton supporters at the convention said they are unlikely to rally behind Obama, a sign that Democrats still face a hurdle in overcoming divisions created during the primaries.
Novelist John Grisham, too, who attended the convention with his wife in support of Clinton, is not ready to back Obama.
“We’re Hillary people,” he said.

I Love John Grisham’s books!! On my third in counting…
Super excited he’s a Hillary supporter and I really hope he will warm up to Obama’s run for presidency too though!
Cheers!
I am a Grishom fan. I have read most of his books and have seen all of his movies. I was disappointed after learning that although he is a democrat, he will not support Obama. I am not reffering to this article, but to his interview with Chris Matthews at the first presidential debate. Mr. Grishom, I understand that you can afford a lifetime of GWB policies, but most folks can not. I am truly dissapointed at your attemp to slyly admit that you are not going to vote for Obama by pointing out that you are a yellow dog (or was it bluedog?) demo. Truly dissapointed.
