The man with the rubber boots stepped into the elevator behind me, but I didn’t see him at first. I smelled him though—the pungent odor of smoke and cheap wine and life on the street without soap.

Michael was in a hurry. He was scrambling up the ladder at Drake & Sweeney, a giant D.C. law firm with eight hundred lawyers. The money was good and getting better; a partnership was three years away. He was a rising star with no time to waste, no time to stop, no time to toss a few coins into the cups of panhandlers. No time for a conscience.

This is without a dout one of the best books that I have read. Mr. Grisham describes in such detail that I shared every single moment with him as he was helping with the homeless people. This is such a good read.

Alone and bored, I grew tired of the television and grabbed a book off the shelf. I had no idea who John Grisham was, but was advised by a teacher that I would find him of interest. Flipping open the paperback version of THE STREET LAWYER I lay on my bed and dive into the exhilarating world of a man struggling to find his true purpose as his eyes are daily being opened to the realities of the society that he had just so recently been ignorant of. While the plot may have been a bit predictable the value and delivery of the words within this book enveloped my interest. I was enthralled. This was the very book that sparked my interest in Grisham and the very book I recommend to any new Grisham reader. From page one your attention is thrust into the novel and held there relentlessly page after page. Then it ends. I’ve been craving Grisham novels ever since. Each release of a new novel being almost orgasmic in my desire to journey another day in the Grisham World. And to think I only live 40 minutes from him. Haha

This is my favorite Grisham book, this book leads you down the road of someone who desires to see good done in the world I only wish this was true outside of Grisham’s story.
