Best-selling author John Grisham hosted a benefit for the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and the Legal Aid Justice Center on Thursday, November 13. The event was held at Toad’s Place in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom and included an auction for naming rights in Grisham’s upcoming novel.
Virginia First Lady Anne Holton, a former legal aid attorney and juvenile and district relations district court judge in Richmond, was also recognized for her service to the legal community.
Sponsors included Dominion and Altria and five of the state’s largest law firms: Hunton & Williams, McGuireWoods LLP, LeClairRyan, Williams Mullen and Troutman Sanders.
